Warm weather calls for hot neon colors!!

I recently bought one of the best nail polish colors in the world! It's called Neon Orange Sunset and it's exactly what it sounds like! It almost hurts my eyes to look at it and I wouldn't be surprised if it glowed in the dark.

or Lennon shades as I like to call them after the legendary John Lennon who is famously known for wearing them have been appearing up in a lot of clothing and accessories stores. Nowadays rockers like Ozzy Osbourne and fashion trenders such as Mary-kate Olson have been sporting them in the Hollywood scene for a while now. I found a pair for only 1,000 yen yesterday at a store in Omotesando.  

Rings

Many people wear rings for a variety of reasons. Some wear it for religious purposes and in my case, just for adornment. Here are a few below on my wish list.  

 

Twiggy???

Or at least my make-up artist tried to make me look like today. 

In my opinion, only Twiggy can pull off this doe eye look. But it was still a fun experience especially when I had to ride back home on the train and everyone kept glancing at my face.

Hanami

My friends and I celebrated Hanami "flower viewing" at Yoyogi Park this past Sunday. Little did I know that everyone else in the city was going to be the same exact thing! It took us about 20 minutes to find a nice grassy area to set up our picnic belongings. If I do this again next year, i'll make sure to do it during the week day when everyone is either at work or at school.

It's so warm out!!!

The weather has been so marvelous lately that i've been spending all of my time outdoors. It's hard to even imagine that it was frigid cold out only a couple of weeks ago. My spirits have been raised and I'm ready for more adventures!!!!

I took these photos in Kamakura the other day with a fish eye lens connected to an iPhone. 

I enhanced the colors just a little on my iPhoto and was surprised at how beautiful it came out. 

Tomorrow, my friends and I are gonna celebrate Hanami (sakura festival) at Yoyogi Park! I'm so thrilled to be able to spend time with close ones of mine and eat and drink under the Sakura trees! I'll make sure to take some photos and post another blog some time soon after.

Cherry Blossom Season is finally here!

Today was so warm out that I went outside to take some pictures of the blossoming Sakura trees. 

This my favorite time of the year because it will feels like everything is so fresh and brand new! Almost like I can restart my life again and shrug off any ill feelings I was having before.

フレンチトースト！

The other morning I was having a major sweet tooth and made some scrumptious french toast! I can't even remember the last time i've eaten french toast before that. I even used cinnamon powder and real french bread and on top of that I covered my french toast in strawberries, bananas, maple syrup, and powder sugar. Just typing this out is making my mouth water!

Earthquakes, tsunamis, and radiation...OH MY!!!

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. But this time I have a good excuse. So much has happened in the past two and a half weeks since Japan was hit with the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and it's been pretty crazy ever since. People still trip out that I didn't leave. My mother has been hysterical on the phone and even her ex-boyfriend that I haven't talked to in couple of years keeps e-mailing to tell me to leave the country because of the radiation scare. As you can see i've been really stressed, but I have my reasons why I am still here and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. 

It's crazy to think that I was physically here when it all happened. I mean this is gonna go down in history as one of the most severe catastrophes of this century. But I can tell you that everyone here in Japan is being very levelheaded about this situation and prevailing through these tough times. For the first time, I must say I'm proud to be Japanese. 

 

This was what happened to my agency the day of the earthquake.

Last week I went to go watch Tokyo Girls Collection to support my girlfriend who was in the show!!! 

She did such a great job strutting her stuff! At the end of the show they gave everyone a gift bag full of goodies!!! I was stoked!!! lol

InterStyle in Yokohama

About two weeks ago I went to a surf, skate, snowboard tradeshow called InterStyle! It was in a large warehouse the size of a football field and and had at least 100 booths! It was pretty exciting to see the new boards and clothing line for the up coming season. The best part was getting to see alot of my friends from out of Japan that came down with their sponsors.

Snowboarding!

Finally got to go snowboarding! I went on a three day trip to Nigata and Gunma. The last time I went snowboarding was 5 years ago in Alaska so it was a little difficult in the beginning but within a couple of hours I totally got the hang of it.

My very first time making a bento for lunch!! And I made it within 15 mins!

江ノ島

I went to Enoshima the other day for the first time and ate the best shirasudon!! If you don't know what shirasudon is it is little baby sardines that are on top of a bowl of rice. Shounan is famous for their raw shirasu which I was a little unsure about trying but ended up liking it very much. The picture below is not raw shirasu but it was still very tasty:)

Got my nails did

I finally got my nails professionally done for the first time yesterday at a nail salon called Kether in Sangenjaya. I wanted something really simple so the lady suggested I get french tip. 

It came out so nice. I've always had short nails my whole life and now that their long I feel so much more feminine. 

昨日はじめてネイルをやってもらいました。

シンプルですごくきにいりました。

私がいったネイルサロンはKetherてゆうところです。さんげんじゃやにあります。

Cold weather calls for warm head bands

I almost bought this headband from Forever 21 but thank goodness I didn't because I ended getting it for Christmas from my mom. They sure do keep my ears warm :)

Craving for Strawberries

I rarely buy strawberries because of how expensive they are but yesterday I was really craving them and went to supermarket in Gotanda and bought some.
