PARIYA

The other day my friend Masako took me to a nice little restaurant called PARIYA in Aoyama.
It wasn't like a regular restaurant where you have waiters and waitresses serving you but more like a cafeteria. You stand in a line and tell the person behind the counter what 3 types of dishes you would like to go with your bowl of rice (they have regular white rice, brown rice, and rice with steamed vegetables in it). What took me by surprise was that the rice, soup, and drink was all you can eat and drink for only ¥1,000!!! which is extremely cheap price especially for being a restaurant in Tokyo. The food was delicious and very healthy and I didn't feel guilty once for eating as much as I did.  Most of the customers there were women who were either on their lunch break from work or having a lunch date with their friends. Check it out if you are ever in the area :)

HIIIIIII KAZZZZZZZZZ

So I promised my really good friend Kaz Sano that I'd throw a shout out to him on blogspot!

I have to say Kaz has made my living situation in Japan alot easier even though he's all the way in Hawaii. Whenever I feel lonely or if I have some kind of drama in my life, he's always ready to go on skype and listen to me and give advice. I have no clue how many hours i've spent so far on skype with him but I would have to estimate around 100 hours so far this past year. That's why we call each other skype buddies ☺ His family lives over here in Japan and they have taken me in as if I was there own. Thank you so much Kaz for everything you have done for me (especially for introducing me to you know who ;) )

Kaz works very hard every day taking pictures of up and coming surfer groms and making videos for his website until wee hours of the night. It's gotta be the Japanese work ethic in him.
