Man this past week was a busy week for me with Christmas and birthday parties. 

I'm exhausted...but in a good way:)

Mask Time

The winter weather is constantly making my face dry that the only way I am able to hydrate is with masks. My all time favorite is Pure Source Sheet Mask (olive). It's a Korean brand but you can usually find it a department stores in the beauty section. For only one mask it costs ¥210!!! It's probably double the price of what it is in Korea.

Sammy's Christmas Party

Last night was my surf shop's annual Christmas Party in Ebisu! 

Friends and family of all ages came down to celebrate at a really nice little club/lounge bar called Vibe.

The best part were the Dj's that where there! They played variety of music ranging from old school hip hop to house. My legs are so sore from all the dancing I did. lol But all in all it was a great night:)

So the side braid that i've been trying attempt to do had been a fail until my friend Julie figured out how to do it when we went to Subway. It's pretty complicating and we sat there for a long time after we ate as she tried perfecting her braiding skills.

So I finally found some crazy false eyelashes that i've been looking for some time now. 

My friend Devin took me to shu uemura in Omotesando and saw some awesome looking lashes. They had bizarre ones that had fur or crystals on them. I chose the mini khaki false eyelashes which have strips of green in them! 

They were a little pricy but totally worth it. Can't wait to use them this weekend!

Black n White

There's something about black and white photography that makes it so classic and elegant. 

Without all the other distractions such as color you focus more on the subject.

Kinda Late...

I should of blogged about this weeks ago but better late then never ;) 

For Thanksgiving I was invited over to my friend's house in Fussa. 

Friends and family of about thirty gathered together to have a large feast of every kind of Thanksgiving food you could imagine. This Thanksgiving was very special to me because it was my first real one in Japan. Last year my roommate Kaori made mashed potatoes for the both of us. We wanted to cook a whole dinner but finding the material for it in Japan is very hard to find and expensive. This year i'm very thankful for my friends here in Japan. They are the only ones keeping me sane. LOL

What's in the bag...

I noticed that in a lot of Japanese magazines they show what models have in their bags. At first, I thought this was a little strange but realized that it was interesting to see what kind of things girls carry in their bags everyday. So here's what I have in my bag. I try not to put anything unnecessary in it because it just becomes way too much of a hassle to take stuff out and it gets heavy. I strictly try keep only my wallet, chap stick, pressing powder, foundation, sunglasses, and some gum. I also try to make it a ritual once 

a week to clean out my bag because you'd be surprise how much stuff will accumulate.

Or Kemp Muhl as she likes to be called is one of my favorite American models out their today. She became the youngest model to appear on the cover of Britain's Harper's and Queen magazine at the age of sixteen and does numerous campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, D&G, Maybelline, and Swarovski. She's also well known for dating Sean Lennon (John Lennon and Yoko Ono's son). What I love most about her is her free spirit/hippie style that is always consistently changing and unique so good luck trying to copy her!  LOL

エッグスンシングス

今日は原宿のエッグスンシングスはじめてたべにいきました。

ハワイのエッグスンシングスと大した違いはありませんでした。

お店の中はハワイの雰囲気ですごくよかたです。

Tonight I went to the Harajuku Eggs 'n Things for the very first time. 
I thought it wouldn't be the same as the one in Hawaii but to my surprise it was exactly like it! 

They even had the regular bottle of Heinz ketchup and Kikkoman shoyu which is very hard to 
find in restaurants in Japan. Devin had a veggie omelet while I had the traditional 
Hawaiian breakfast-spam and eggs. I also ordered their banana whip cream 
pancakes which I had Devin help me eat.

The first thing I plan on eating when I go back to Hawaii is an Acai Bowl! 

I haven't eaten one since the last trip I took to Hawaii in June. I don't know why there aren't any places that serve acai bowls here in Tokyo when it is very popular within the Japanese people. 

I love to eat acai bowls after a surf session because it always gives me a boost of energy while satisfying my sweet tooth at the same time.

Side Braid

A while back a make up artist did my hair in the photo below for a photo shoot. I liked it so much that I asked her to leave it in even after the shoot was done. It's simple and and laid back but still very stylish. It can be worn out to a date or for work. It's ironic because my mother is a hairstylist but I'm not very good at styling my own hair and want to learn how to make this side bang braid.

Winter has arrived! All I want to do now days is be locked up inside with warm blankets. Going outside for a run is such torture for me!!! But I know have to unless want to gain weight. Ahhh 2 more weeks and I'll be back in Hawaii.

My New Obsession

I've noticed that as I get older I'm becoming more interested in makeup and fashion. I'm so intrigued by the latest trends that I spend a great deal of my free time going on the web and researching. One thing that I'm quite fascinated by is false feather eyelashes. Drag Queens are famous for them but now days you'll see woman of all ages wearing them out to parties and dinners. Tomorrow I'm going to go look for these eyelashes so that I too can wear them out for special occasions. :)
